We rely on volunteers who feel called to help and love those who are homeless, hurting, struggling, lonely, and broken. Volunteer staff display a compassionate presence, a listening ear, and gracious hospitality. We are totally funded through donations from individuals, churches, private organizations, and businesses. We do not seek, nor accept any funding that could compromise our mission.

Our Purpose

The Beacon Warming Shelter is a program of Freedom Inn His Grace Ministry that works cooperatively with the community to serve adult (age 18 or older) men and women who are experiencing housing insecurity and / or homelessness. The Beacon is a low barrier shelter that serves guests in a non – judgmental manner by shining hope through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Provide a safe warm place to rest, access to a shower, limited laundry facility, healthy snacks and beverages, fellowship, and referrals or additional help and assistance. Guests come as they are, one night at time and everyone is welcome. We only ask that all guests are respectful, kind and considerate to the volunteer staff and other guests.

No drug testing or ID is required.

We do not allow:
 Vaping or smoking
 Mood altering substances to be used or brought on the premises
 Weapons of any kind

Guest Check In:

The Beacon Warming Shelter can serve up to 30 guests and is open from 9:00pm – 7:30am daily beginning late October through late April. Guest “check in” occurs each evening from 9:00 pm – 11 pm. Admittance after “check in” hours can be facilitated through local law enforcement or other direct service partner.
